Okay, I gotta vent here..before I say something I'll regret at the next meeting. And of everyone, those who are farthest out are exempt for the obvious (at least to me) reasons; as well as those already CERTefied (like Larson, though he could have taken the course as a refresher).
You know, everyone was complaining just two months ago that we don't do anything towards making the community better. Just two months ago everyone was rather loudly objecting to go-no-where meetings month after month; fantom goals that we're supposed to achieve, but never really do because of a lack of opportunity. These last two weeks I've flooded emails with CERT Training opportunities. Even our youngest ensign, who has not attended a single meeting, commented on this today. I emailed and I posted on FB and on Spacebook and had LtJG Niss send out messages regarding the upcoming training session. Yet, who showed up? Myself, my kids, and Katie; and no one else. There are a few people I can excuse for lack of transportation or distance. But I don't want to hear another blasted word about how nothing is ever planned to help us better our community when no one else bothers to show up. To say I'm disappointed would be a severe understatement. I'm offended/hurt/insulted/angry/disappointed (yes, all of them) that so many got so 'heated' during the meeting about our chapter not doing more, and then refuse TO DO MORE! With a few exceptions, I'm disappointed in my chapter as a whole.

	Nathan Hale and Ulysses are discussing the transfer request initiated by James Sexton, who feels Joseph is 'lacking' in his command position. Sexton has a serious chip on shoulder over Allen Hohensee's departure, and may not be a member of the Federation in the future. I know we're not really hurting for members, but I am trying to persuade him to stay - or at least to not let Allen be the reason he leaves.
